A Proven Record of Leadership and Public Service

Brenda Stanley learned the lessons of faith, hard work and common sense values early in life. Her father was killed in an automobile accident when Brenda was only five, but her mother worked tirelessly at multiple jobs to provide for Brenda and her two siblings.

Brenda was the first in her family to attend college, paying for her own education. After graduation, she taught school and worked evening jobs to repay school loans and work on her Master’s degree at the University of Georgia.

As a result of her hard work, leadership abilities and determination, Brenda has achieved many milestones in her professional career. She received her Administration Certification in 1992 from UCO, and served as Principal at Cleveland Bailey Elementary School in the Mid-Del School District from 1996-2006. She was Principal at Westfall Elementary School in the Choctaw/Nicoma Park School District from 2006 until her retirement in 2016. During her tenure, Westfall Elementary received numerous honors including a Great Expectations Model School, a Highly Performing School with the highest test scores in the Choctaw/Nicoma Park School District, and received an “A” on the A-F Report Card.

Recently, she has served as a Project Manager for Kid’s College & Teen Scene at Rose State College, as well as a Supervisor of Teacher Education Services at the University of Central Oklahoma College of Education and Professional Studies.

Throughout the years, Brenda has been active in many civic and school organizations, including:

  • 2009 OAESP Administrator of the Year, Dist. 7C
  • National Association of Elementary School Principals
  • Oklahoma Association of Elementary School Principals
  • Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Honor Society
